The Bay View library is the hub of our school. From the moment student enter the library for story time, instruction, free-reading, or exploring the many STEAM-type recess options, they know that they are in a safe and welcoming place. Staffed with a credentialed Teacher Librarian and library assistant, students have access to books and rich instruction in digital citizenship, research skills, and information literacy. Students learn valuable standards-based skills to help them use and understand different kinds of information and text. With an average of 800 books circulated a week, students and their families are encouraged to select books that will foster their love of reading.
